Good but SUPER decadent!

I made these today for a playdate and got mixed reactions. My 8 year old daughter thought they were too rich, my 4 year old son didn't care for the marshmallows but my friend who has a huge sweet tooth thought they were "ABSOLUTELY AMAZING"! I liked them okay, but I enjoyed them a lot more after they chilled for an hour and a half. Made for a less goopy and more sturdy bite!
Pros: Quick, Easy, Kid-Friendly, Appearance, Adaptable, Versatile, chocolatey
Cons: Unhealthy, goopy, rich

Loved it since I was a kid!!!

Probably more than fifty years ago, I had the Betsy McCall cookbook that contained a similar recipe. Betsy took a can of sweetened, condensed milk and added it to two cups of melted chocolate chips, then mixed it with vanilla, and I think two tablespoons of butter. The rocky road additions are just one of many variations to this terrific fudge. I actually spread it on rugalach dough then spread it with preserves and sprinkle it with either pecans, slivered almonds, or walnuts, and it's perfection!!! These days, instead of using a double boiler, I melt the chocolate drops for a minute and twenty seconds before adding the milk, and it comes out fine.

Good but not perfect

It was very rich in taste. I think it would have been better if the fudge solidified more. it was goopy rather than firm (had to fork it than a finger food), but don't know if it was because the chocolate was too hot and melted the marshmallows a little bit. Maybe I'd stick in the fridge/freezer a lot longer.
