Potato and Apple Galette

Flavored with tart apples, this simple but elegant pancake is the perfect accompaniment to our Seared Duck Breast with Pinot Noir Sauce (see related recipe at left). The pancake is sliced into wedges, which make attractive garnishes on the plate. The potato will soak up some of the fruity sauce from the duck.

Modified a bit, but everyone loved it!

I added in some diced, sauteed ham. It turned out amazing! Highly recommend. Don't skip the step of squeezing out the juice from the grated potatoes.
Pros: Quick, Good Value, Easy, Kid-Friendly, Healthy, Adaptable, Will Make Again

Not worth the effort

I followed the recipe exactly. The finished galette looked good but the taste was not great. I think there was too much flour in the recipe. Definitely not a make again.
Cons: Taste

A disappointment!

I will not make this again. I followed the directions, and it stuck to my LeCruset frypan. It ended up like mushy and greasy hash browns. It would be a better idea to cook this on a griddle and in pancake-sized amounts. The taste was okay, but not worth a do-over
