Portuguese Clam and Sausage Stew

Use fresh Mexican (not dried Spanish) chorizo, or substitute hot Italian sausage. While Asian fish sauce may seem out of place here, it's a trick to add an indescribable element of flavor.

Delcicious and Hearty

I've made this reciepe at least 15 times. It is so easy. I am lucky to have at my farmers market a purveyor that carries fresh clams and one that has mexican chorizo and one that carries great dried beans. So everytime I see fresh clams this reciepe comes to mind. This is so easy to make and just add a great salad and some good crusty bread and you are set!!
