Pork Loin & Fig Panini with Sweet Potato Fries

A mandoline makes fast work of cutting the sweet potatoes into uniform fries. They're delicious alongside this pork loin panini, which gets a flavor boost from 'wichcraft spiced fig and red wine jam.

Answer to: What is Walnut Levain?
What is bread! It's a walnut bread, and you can find recipes on line for it when you google "walnut levain." Or you could substitute with an earthy walnut bread.
I'm going to try it and re-review this recipe. Not knowing what the ingredient doesn't mean it deserves a one star. It sounds fantastic.

Walnut Levain
I hope you try this recipe again knowing that Walnut Levain is the bread used in this recipe - I find it at our local speciality bread shop, however I believe that supermarkets may also have something similar, but they may call it by a different name. Ask the bakery person in your grocer or go to a speciality bread store.
Walnut Levain is definitely worth trying even if you don't make this recipe! Hope this helps.
