Pizza Margherita

Now a well-loved and widely traveled variety of pizza, this combination was the inspiration of 19th-century Neapolitan pizza maker Raffaele Esposito, who created it to honor Queen Margherita, wife of Italys King Umberto I, on a royal visit to Naples in 1889.

Family Favorite

We have made this since we were first married in 2002. We have made it for countless guests, and now it's a favorite for our kids. It's easy and fun, and we can add extra veggies sometimes, too. Love it!

The best pizza...ever

I have made this pizza for my family for YEARS!!!! I got the recipe from a Williams-Sonoma cookbook. It never fails to please everyone. So easy to do and so much better than going out. Honest.
