Pear, Endive and Walnut Salad

Asian pears are a particularly good choice for salads, as they remain crisp when tossed with a vinaigrette. Their aromatic character pairs well with the tartness of a young, soft goat cheese and the richness of a creamy blue, making them a good match for a cheese course (see related recipe at left).

Delicious salad- pair with the blue cheese!
April 30, 2010
I made this recipe for a small Anniversary dinner I made for my family. Awesome, vibrant flavors, but definitely not for the faint of palate. It was an explosion of flavor, especially when it was paired with the blue cheese the recipe recommends. I really loved the myriad of crunchy textures: pear, endive, and walnuts. My family enjoyed it a lot. Will make again!
