Pear-Custard Tart

To prepare neat pear slices for a tart, halve the pear lengthwise and cut away the stem. Using a melon baller, scoop out and discard the core. Finally, peel the pear halves and cut lengthwise into thin slices.

Easy and Delicious
January 19, 2011
Want a little more that just a straight up pear tart, this is the one to go to.
The only thing I would note is that getting the eggs to "pale yellow and thick" is all relative. An estimated amount of time would be helpful. Thinking you can't over beat eggs, I beat them for a good 8 minutes, until the consistency was like a runny custard.
Other than that easy and delicious. Will make again!
