Parmesan Cheese Bread

Make this bread for a party, serving it while still warm and breaking off individual rolls at the table. If necessary, you can reheat it in a 300deg.F oven.Use freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, preferably imported, for the best flavor. And you will achieve better results in bread making if you buy one of the professional-quality active dry yeasts, such as Engedura from Holland or SAF from France. You can also make the dough by hand: Stir together the ingredients in a bowl and then knead the dough on a lightly floured board until smooth and elastic, about 15 minutes.

All around great recipe!
January 28, 2011
The bread itself looks great, and makes for a nice presentation on the dinner table.
Also, it is quite forgiving! I only let the dough rest for the first time, and forgot about the second 30 - 40 min rest. And then I left it in about 5 min too long. It still turned out fine.
My only *tiny* complaint: Even with freshly grated parmesan added to the dough mix, I still did not pick up on the cheese taste. But the cheese sprinkled on top browned up nicely, and added flavor.

Very Tasty Bread
January 15, 2011
I've made this recipe a number of times and am especially in love with the ease of it since I'm not normally a bread maker. The ingredients are simple but the taste is amazing and complex. Nothing tastes better than these rolls fresh out of the oven. Try it, your dinner guests will thank you.

Yummy Bread for everyday or special dinner
May 2, 2010
This is a wonderful bread recipe. Easy to make and goes with so many things.
Sometime a little different bread is all you need to make a perfect meal. I made it according to the directions and the rolls turned out perfect. I have made them to go with both Italian meals and many different soups. I will make them next week to serve at a salad dinner that I am hosting.
These rolls are also great just eaten alone.
