Orecchiette with Broccoli Rabe
This straightforward preparation is enjoyed throughout Apulia, the "heel" of Italy's boot, where it is liberally drizzled with the region's superb extra-virgin olive oil. Look for broccoli rabe in specialty markets; it resembles broccoli but has thinner stems, smaller florets and more leaves. If you can't find it, substitute broccoli florets.

Comfort food... quick

This is a family favorite. I do substitute spinach for the Rabe, and often add sweet Italian Sausage. ( 1 pkg., cut each link in half lengthwise and removed casing and baked on a baking sheet @ 350 for about 20-25 mins., then slice and add to dish.)

My family loved this dinner...the next time I would add more sausage. I'll definitely make it again.
