Orange Chiffon Layer Cake

This impressive cake calls for a celebration! Brightened with tangy blood-orange zest, the cake is layered with cream cheese frosting and orange marmalade. Sliced kumquats add a decorative touch.

Very good!

I made this cake for an Easter dinner. It was VERY GOOD and a big hit.
I used sweet marmalade since the traditional Seville Marmalade was way too bitter for my taste.
I will say this cake was extremely sweet. One piece is great. Having seconds is a bit much, even if you have a sweet tooth like I do.
I might try a version of this cake that replaces the cream cheese frosting with a light dusting of powdered sugar and then a raspberry sauce drizzled on top. (Just an idea)
Pros: Appearance, Adaptable, Impressive, Will Make Again
Cons: Complicated

This was my Easter dinner dessert. Everyone love it! I followed the recipe word by word. I used the new cake flour from WS and the orange & Fortnum's Champagne marmalade ( I found it no too overwellming in flavor) I did it one day in advance so the frosting will set better(refrigerator). Instead of orange jce. I used oj-frozen concentrated, and also used it to wet each layer of the cake w/my silicone spatula, I like to do this in order that the cake will be moist.
When I did the frosting I leaved in the refrigerator before I used it. I also used it the bamboo sticks from WS to keep the cake together because when you started assembling the cake, kind of that you need additional support so I stick 4 and the next day before serving were pulled out...instead of kumquats I just grated some orange peel ( I used my WS grater the one w/big grater holes
everyone like the look. My family wants the same cake next year!
Pros: Yield, Quick, Appearance, Impressive, Will Make Again
