To spice up your steamed rice, stir in 1/4 cup thinly sliced green onions and 1 Tbs. toasted sesame seeds.

Interesting and different

I made this last night for dinner. My husband and I liked it; the kids, not so much ;-) I will try this again with a slightly thinner glaze layer. As well, using 1/2" sliced regular eggplant was not ideal - the skin became tough and unpleasant.
