Lentil Stew with Smoked Turkey and Sweet Potatoes

Smoked turkey adds deep flavor to a simple lentil-based soup. Look for orange-fleshed sweet potatoes, sometimes labeled as yams, for their rich flavor. Greens add vivid color, nutrients and texture. Serve with whole-grain rolls.

Delicious Fall Stew
November 2, 2011
I just made this stew for dinner. It was incredible!
My fiance immediately responded that the stew was "beautiful." When starting to eat it, I had a dilemma, it was too hot but so delicious.
We made enough for at least another two meals. I'm looking forward to heating it up again tomorrow, as the recipe says more flavor comes out each time it is reheated.
Thanks for the recipe!
Pros: Yield, Healthy, Appearance, Will Make Again

So absolutely delicious!

I made this on a sunny but cold autumn evening after a day of playing outdoors, and it could not have been more perfect! I used Andouille chicken sausage instead of turkey, and it added a nice kick. We are just glad there's enough for leftovers tomorrow!
Pros: Quick, Easy, Healthy, Will Make Again
