Dough too dry

If you follow this recipe exactly, the dough is much too dry to work with. The flour/liquid ratio is completely wrong. Look at other cookie recipes to see this. I had to add more butter, and some milk in order to work with the dough. But after all of that, the dough was overworked and my cookies were tough.

Fun With the Grandchildren

With aprons on and stools to boost their height, my granddaughters love shaping and baking these cookies. Just add some beautiful William Sonoma colored sugars and they create their own masterpieces! We have had lots of fun with this recipe and so will you!
