How to impress your dinner guests

I've tried dozens of rack of lamb recipes and hands down this is the best rack of lamb ever! Every one who has tried it asks for the recipe. Haven't made the filled pasta sheets however; maybe the next big occasion...

Filled Pasta Shells instead

For Christmas dinner this year we took your advice and made the Herb-Crusted Rack of Lamb with Filled Pasta Sheets. I was in charge of the Filled Pasta. Our local store did not have fresh pasta sheets so I bought Jumbo Pasta Shells and pre-cooked them. I made the filling as directed. Then set each shell in a 1/3 measuring cup for support while I filled it. I planned 3 shells per guest. I then baked them covered while the Ribs were cooking (350 for about 20 minutes) to heat them. Boy were they a hit! I am glad to report I have some left over filling so now I just have to pre-cook more shells!

Potato buds, who knew!

We tested this out a few weeks before Christmas to see about serving for the family. The technique is great, and who knew potato buds could be used this way. I would suggest cutting down on the salt. I don't think I sprinkled that much on at the start, but the combo of all the ingredients made it too salty. Otherwise this was delicisious. We will make it for the family, with this minor adjustment. Enjoy.
