Green Goddess Dip
Redolent of fresh herbs, this dip is inspired by the classic green goddess salad dressing. The chef at San Franciscos Palace Hotel created the dressing in the 1920s to honor actor George Arliss, who was performing locally in a play called Green Goddess.

Wonderful and addictive

Easy to throw together and utterly addictive...I am hoping the other reviewer didn't use sardines! However....don't be afraid of he anchovies the are really necessary to the finished taste

Incredible & fresh

This is hands-down the best dip I have ever made or tasted. I made this for an event with in-laws (always stressful) and it went over huge. I also replaced the sour cream with plain fat-free yogurt and used olive-oil mayo. Fabulous!
I made the crudite, blanching the veggies.
I might have eaten the most of this dip, but I love it and make it all the time now. It makes a great, healthy munching/snacking replacement from chips or other such bad foods

Chopping up all the fresh herbs is really worth it for this recipe. The sardines called for are subtle, but do add depth so don't skip them. Served this at a graduation party for my husband and we had no leftovers. That speaks for itself!
