Ginger Cake with Warm Caramel Sauce

This cake is best served warm, and it is tempting to eat some as soon as it comes out of the oven. However, as the cake sits, the flavors continue to develop. If possible, bake the cake in advance, then reheat the entire cake or individual slices just before serving.

Perfect ginger cake for a light dessert, leftovers are great for snacking with or without the caramel sauce and ice cream (or whipped cream, your preference). I've made this for years and I'm always asked to pass along the recipe.

Perfect with a cup of Coffee

Recipe was easy to put together. Have all ingredients at room temperature like suggested. I baked it in the evening and served it the next day. We did heat it up before topping with warm carmel sauce and whipped cream. Wonderful!
