Garlicky Shrimp Scampi

American cooks use the term scampi to describe sauteed jumbo shrimp in a buttery white wine sauce. Scallops are good with this sauce, too. Small bay scallops will cook in about the same amount of time as the shrimp. If you like, serve the saucy scampi over fresh pasta.

Too much lemon
February 14, 2014
The lemon peel and juice should have measurements instead of peel and juice of l lemon. I believe mine was too large. The shrimp was perfect but couldn't taste them because the lemon sauce overpowered them.
Pros: Appearance, Adaptable
Cons: Taste

We made this with orzo the other night. It was easy and delicious! I doubled the amount of sauce as previously suggested. Even leftovers were tasty!

Easy and tasty

I served this over angel hair pasta and it was great except it needed a little more sauce. Will definitely make again and double the sauce.
