Frozen Passion Fruit Margarita

Passion fruit is very acidic, so it's not necessary to use as much lime juice in this recipe as in a traditional margarita. If you prefer a margarita on the rocks, blend the drink for a shorter period of time and then strain it into a glass filled with ice. To make simple syrup, in a measuring cup, stir together 1/4 cup superfine sugar in 1/4 cup hot water until dissolved. Let cool. This recipe makes 3 fl. oz. syrup and can be doubled or tripled as needed.
