Cranberry Martinis

The traditional martini is given a holiday hue with a splash of cranberry juice. Shaking the ingredients vigorously in a cocktail shaker as instructed below helps to chill and blend the contents thoroughly.

Pretty but unpotable
December 26, 2012
Following the recipe as indicated except omitting the lemon garnish, I found this drink to be visually attractive but totally undrinkable, even after adding modest amount of sweeteners. Very unpleasant mouth feel. Perhaps cranberry juice cocktail rather than pure straight cranberry juice. Is this a recipe error?

My entire extended family loves this recipe!!! It has become a Thanksgiving Day staple. I love the garnish of a skewer of fresh cranberries. So pretty and so festive. Love!!
