Classic BBQ Chicken

Classic barbecued chicken doesn't begin with boneless, skinless chicken breasts. You have to have bones to develop great flavor. Nor do you want your chicken to be burnt on the outside and raw on the inside, which is what happens to too many cooks. Follow this recipe for great results. Here, the chicken is brined before grilling and then brushed with a tasty barbecue sauce during cooking.

Worth the Effort
August 31, 2013
For those of you who are skeptic to try brining, this is a great introduction and well worth the effort. The chicken is very flavorful and cooks evenly on the grill. I used chicken thighs and legs so it was inexpensive. I loved it so much, I've already made this three times this month.
Pros: Easy

The Best BBQ Chicken!
March 12, 2013
For probably the first time ever, we followed the directions entirely (except that we werent able to brine for more than a few hours rather than overnight) and the result was truly the best BBQ chicken any of our family & guests had ever had. We roasted whole poblano chilis on the grille and served them (peeled) on the side. What resulted was a delicious combo of the sweet sauce and the spicy pepper! Too Good!!
Pros: Yield, Good Value, Easy, Kid-Friendly, Healthy, Appearance, Impressive, Will Make Again
Cons: Lengthy
