I have been baking since I was 7 yrs. old
and when I got this recipe reading all the diferent ingredients I had to do it.
I shared it w/my family and some friends,
and they want me to bake it for them for
the holiday's. I used the crystalized ginger from WS, that was excellent.
My husband is crazy over this cake!

A Holiday Favorite

I have made Chuck's Golden Ginger Cake for my family for the past several Christmases -- and it has now become part of our holiday tradition. I also make it for my close friends -- and I know that they look forward to the cake as a part of their holidays, also. The cake has a rich, yet fresh and lively flavor, with a decadent (but not heavy) texture. The blend of the ginger, the nuts, and the fruit weaves a tapestry of flavor that is complex and bright on the tongue -- just one bite evokes that holiday spirit. The cake improves with time -- so keeping one on hand through the holidays means you will always be ready with a treat for your family and friends.
