Chili-Garlic Prawns with Chinese Noodles

A member of the Chinese cabbage family, bok choy has a mild, chardlike flavor and a crunchy texture. This recipe calls for baby bok choy, which is about half the size of regular bok choy and is more tender.

Quick & delicious

Garlic chili sauce can be quite hot for some so I chose to use a sweeter garlic chili sauce that was found at the
supermarket. It was still mildly hot but turned out to be a delicious substitute.
Pros: Quick, Easy, Will Make Again

Delicious easy weeknight dinner!
June 28, 2011
We followed the recipe as written except for some minor changes. We did not pre-cook the baby bok choy-it's sliced so thinly that it stir fries nicely! It was way too soggy when done as written. Also, we did the green onions with the bok choy as they tend to burn if they are cooked first in the pan. Overall, great flavor, good meal for family and guests, although some kids might find it a bit too spicy. Finally, Williams Sonoma currently sells a garlic ginger wok sauce, not chili garlic, so we added a spoonful of chili garlic paste to this sauce! Yum!
Pros: Quick, Easy, Kid-Friendly, Healthy, Appearance, Will Make Again
Cons: may be too spicy for some

A GREAT Weeknight Meal
October 30, 2010
This is wonderful!! and very quick to put together. Make sure you purchase the Udon noodles from William-Sonoma for this dish. I added a bag of frozen stir-fry vegetables instead of the bok choy and it was very good. I took leftovers to work the next day, when I heated it up in the microwave, people came from far and near to see what I had for lunch!! Try it, you will NOT be disappointed.
