Cheddar-Chive Biscuits

To make classic buttermilk biscuits, omit the cheese and chives and substitute 3/4 cup buttermilk for the milk. Decrease the baking powder to 2 tsp. and add 1/2 tsp. baking soda. Proceed as directed.
