I found this way too bland for a chai. You need to boil this down until it's very strong and concentrated, otherwise it's watery and bland when you add the milk. Just make sure you don't add the tea until the last 5 minutes (that's how long you should steep the tea) otherwise it will become bitter. I refrigerate the "concentrate" and add milk when I want a chai (ratio of half chai, half milk if you get your chai strong enough) otherwise add milk to taste.
