Delicious with modifications

I had some extra buttermilk in the fridge and couldn't decide what to do with it, so I made these biscuits (adding cheddar for a cheddar-chive biscuit.)
I was surprised by the amount of liquid they called for, as when I normally make scones it's 2/3 c. cream for the same amount of flour/butter. I added an additional 1/2 cup of flour and found it held together perfectly. Very tender, flaky, flavorful, and easy to work with.
Biscuits take about 10 mins to make - no more using mixes, people! Rock these biscuits and you won't regret it.
