Easy and Fun to Use

There is some to clean but I can quickly dice and slice any vegetable. I made some Super nachos with many healthy vegetables!

Handy for some recipes

This is a useful time saver for recipes that involve a lot of chopping. For me, that is often onions, bell peppers, celery, & carrots for soups. It is nice to have uniform slices, too. It wedged an apple with ease, but with so little space to work with, the apple first had to be cut in half. Everything requires some prep to be sure things are not too thick or too long, but that is true for other choppers and processors, too.
It does require a fair amount of pressure & I often have to strike the veggies more than once. When the contents build up beyond the white plastic base, care must be taken to avoid a mess getting food out.
Storing parts within the chopper is like working a jigsaw puzzle. It is much easier to store the parts separately. The cleaning tool is very helpful, but the chopper is still hard to clean.
Finally, the entire unit has a rather fragile feel, and, yes, it is noisy, but I would recommend it. If/when it does break, I am not likely to purchase another.

I've owned this chopper for 3 years now and I love it. It's the best thing to chop up lots and lots of veggies at once. It's great to chop up onions because it happens so fast, you don't get teary eyes! Peel, cut into big pieces, and chop. The chopping parts can be a pain to clean, but I plan ahead and chop everything I need for the week at once and that saves cleaning time. This thing is something I use decently often in my kitchen and over 3 years I've never had any parts break.

Ok, but not what I'd expected

I purchased this mainly because I was looking for something to quickly and efficiently slice potatoes. I make a lot of oven fries, and I was tired of chopping by hand. Based on the pictures and the description, this looked like the perfect tool.
Unfortunately, there are two main issues that make this unsuited for my main goal. first, the clearance between the blade and the handle is pretty small, meaning that only little potatoes (no more than 5-ish inches, tops) can be chopped without requiring you to hack off part of the potato. Second, the blade that cuts fries only cuts very thin fries. So, if you are looking for something that cuts thicker fries, this will not work for you. It makes McDonald's size skinny fries.
I did find the chopper pretty useful for coring and slicing apples, but not so much more useful than my usual corer/slicer than it was worth the extra cost. Overall, it just wasn't useful enough for me to justify keeping it for the cost.

Works but not made well

I chop a lot of veggies, and this tool seemed great when I first bought it. Unfortunately, the clear plastic started to crack around the latch within the first 1-2 uses. I brought it back to the store and they replaced it. Now the replacement has broken - the whole latch area shattered. Unfortunately William Sonoma product are not made the way they used to be.

Mine arrived two days ago and I could not wait to try it out! Last night, I sliced, diced and chopped my way thru every function! Now I have to figure out what to do with it all.... Great investment. I had also purchased one for a friend at the same time and she was so impressed. You can't go wrong with this chopper!

What a great help

We rarely go out for dinner. We always, especially try to make something dinner for ourselves or friends .. and usually there is always something (s) that need to be chopped. Love this chopper!
I had one before but it was put on the bottom shelf of the dishwasher and warped. I learned my lesson. Happy to have one around int he kitchen again. Just be careful with dishwashing this.

This is a GREAT addition to anyone's kitchen. Very easy to use. Would have given this 5 stars except that trying to change the pusher, it is hard to push the button down. Other than that it is the best chopper on the market.

Very Disappointed

This product was not as easy to use as the description stated.
It actually requires quite a lot of physical pressure to push the top down to chop vegetables. I chopped 2 onions and my arms were aching by the end. It didn’t save me any time since I had to cut the onions down to a size that was manageable to chop. I even had my husband try and he thought it was hard. And it was LOUD when it passed through – kept scaring my dog.
I would not recommend this to anyone.

Works so well

I have owned my Professional Multi-Chopper for several years now and it is a staple in my kitchen. The blades remain sharp, it is easy to clean, and stores really well. And it has helped me get my children interested in cooking fresh, with them chopping and slicing all fresh veggies for. what is on the menu
I use mine several times per week for chopping veggies for soups, and fratta. I also use the slider for freshly fried veggies, and clopping for salads and veggie dips.
I have decided to buy several more to share as Christmas gifts for friends, as they always comment on mine when they see it in action.. so easy, so compact, and so durable!

My favorite veggie chopper for dicing

A friend recommended this - the price was right. You can do a medium dice, slice,
core and cut 1/2 of an apple at a time or a small one and you can cut things in quarters. Blades store inside when not in use.

i PURCHASED THIS CHOPPER SPECIFICALLY TO CHOP ONIONS FOR MY THANKSGIVING STUFFING RECIPE AND WAS EXCEEDINGLY DISAPPOINTED TO FIND THAT THE CHOPPING BLADE WAS NOT SHARP ENOUGH TO CHOP THE ONIONS. I

Onion chopper

It was not as heavy duty as I would have expected. Took a lot of force to to depress the plunger, even with 1/8 of an onion. Setup and cleaning make it impracticable for only one or two onions. Very noisy when the chopper descends.

Too difficult for everyday use

For potatoes and coring the product is very good.
It's too difficult to switch out the top piece and overall too much of a hassle for everyday use.
I used it 4 times during the busiest cooking day of the year and my wife will not use it. I plan to return it, because I need a more versatile chopper.

Doesn't work

Bought one for my mom and one for me. After I tried it and other members of my family tried it, I told my mom not to use it I was going to take it back for her. It's just to hard to do. I'm not a weak person but really, it doesn't cut through carrots and onions slip around, I just didn't like it at all, but I'm stuck with mine. It will make a fine garage sale item.

The blades are not strong and break easily

The blades are not strong enough for those things that are difficult to chop. We have a large vegetable garden and harvest a large amount of certain vegetables at one time. The grid blade broke when I was chopping winter squash (and I had pre-cut the pieces into about .5 inch slices). The slicing blade broken when I was slicing carrots to get them ready to blanch and freeze. It is helpful for little things like getting a salad together but in my opinion it is not worth the extra storage of another gadget and cleaning to slice some cucumbers and a small carrot or two a couple of times a week. It is also good for apples but no more than a hand held unless you have a ton of apples, and then I would predict the apple blade would not hold up either. It only has a 60 day warranty so is not replaceable per customer service and they do not sell replacement blades because the chopper is "only $39.99", which I take to mean they think it is disposable.

Great Product, but...

We really like this chopper and use it regularly, but beware that replacement parts are not available. Somehow the blades on our dicer blade (which we use mostly for french fries) became warped and will not mesh with the pusher, rendering the product useless now for dicing, chopping or french fries, which makes it basically a slicer/wedger.

A Kitchen MUST-HAVE

I use this multi-chopper for literally, EVERYTHING!!! I initially purchased it to quickly chop up my ingredients for pico de gallo; however, I'm constantly discovering new foods to try out in it. The skin on tomatoes is a bit tough and you have to use a little more force - just wear an apron so the red tomato juice doesn't get all over your white shirt!! ;) I learned that one the hard way. Aside from having to wear an apron while chopping tomatoes, it's an AMAZING product. It will be everyone's Christmas, birthday and wedding shower present!!

I love this product. I do batch freezer cooking, so I don't use it often but when I do it gets a workout. I have diced onions, tomatoes and cut potatoes for fries. I have sliced cucumbers, zucchini and squash.
Yes, when I chop onions, I do have to put a little force into it, but it is so worth it. And some have complained that it is loud, and it is. But, in my opinion, the ease of use, timesaver and no more tears advantages outweigh the noise and the fact that I have to put a little force into it.
This is one purchase I do not regret making.
