Bought these with high expectations for something AMAZING since it was being sold through WS and it had truffles in it, but the product was just average. Yes, it cooked perfectly according to the directions, but it did not have an amazing truffle taste. Disappointed.

Serious disappointment
January 18, 2013
Originally planned to share these with a friend but realized I could not split the oil topping. Glad I did not. Baked according to directions. Pasta was over cooked, absolute minimal cheese to be found. No sauce at all. My husband was so disappopinted that he asked me to leave a review to warn others. Hopefully it was just a bad batch.
Cons: Disappointing, Texture, Flavor

Are you serious?!...Delicious!!!
I'm enjoying this little casserole as we speak. It's EXCELLENT Comfort Food in this sub-zero weather!...creamy, cheesy and very tasty indeed. I'll admit that I put a loose piece of foil over it for the last 5 minutes or so in my toaster oven, just as I do when I make my own homemade recipe, to protect the crust from drying out or burning. The pasta that peaked out was delightfully crunchy but certainly not "hard" or "too chewy" at all. As for the cheese, my suspicion is that you prefer a stronger cheddar flavor rather than the more subtle flavors in this one, but that would overwhelm the truffle, I think. Mine turned out amply cheesy and sauce-laden and the "tooth" of the pasta was perfect. Besides, it took no labor on my part, warmed me up on this frigid day and I get to reuse the ramekins...I feel duly pampered! PS: I have a favorite aunt named Montie (for the state she was born in)!
