I have this filled with Easter candy right now, but will use it all year. Nice heavy weight glass, beautifully detailed, well packed, arrived in Alaska without a scratch. Special cudos to the shipping dept.,
Thanks W-S for another lovely item from your home to mine!

Beautiful display piece
July 8, 2012
I bought the short jar as a gift for my mom for Mother's Day. She's very house proud and I know my parents were going to be entertaining a lot this year so I wanted to give her something new to decorate with. She LOVED it. Taking inspiration from the site itself, I suggested she fill it with lemons and limes as she loves citrus fruit. This is what she did and it looked gorgeous. We reckon for Christmas she can fill it with holly and small pine cones, or candy.
I'd also like point out that these (or at least the short one) are quite spacious so my mom had to take a 2nd trip to the store to get enough fruit to fill it. This isn't a flaw, just something to keep in mind.
Pros: Quality, Versatile, Design

Lid Appearance :(
May 16, 2012
I love this Apothecary Jar, but not too crazy about the lid. It doesn't fit the base very well, and people have made rude comments about the top of the lid looking like a body part. Would love to see an alternate lid available. Thanks!

Fabulous Candy Jar
March 22, 2011
I bought the Apothecary Jars to use at my son's wedding for the candy bar. I think these jars can be used for so much more! I can see them being used for flower vases, bath salts or filled with just about anything.

May be many but only one WS Jar!
January 15, 2011
I'm exhausted after my search for the perfect apothecary to put bath salts in. I bought jars from HOME GOODS but filled with decoration since not very solid. Went to the mall and paced between Crate & Barrel, Pottery Barn and Williams Sonoma. I felt like Goldilocks ... Crate & Barrel sizes were awkward; Pottery Barn too small and WS made me nervous because I thought too big. Well - go big or go home. The short jar has a large mouth that is perfect to reach in and grab bath salts; and the jar is solid so you won't be nervous it will break. I'm thinking of getting the other 2 to place around the house.

Beautiful!
January 4, 2011
I resisted the urge to buy one of these for myself (so far) and instead purchased it along with larger spire jar for my mom for Christmas and her birthday. They're beautiful. We didn't have enough candy to fill them for the holiday, but put decorative ornaments in it instead and it looked great!

Elegant Frig decor!
January 3, 2011
I ordered all three of these for atop my refrigerator. Filled with imitation fruits....beautiful!! The only reason for 4 stars rather that 5 is that the lid on the larger jar is not tight fitting. Otherwise, wonderful purchase!!

December 27, 2010
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this jar! I have bought lots of Apothecary Jars from Pottery Barn and out of all of these jars this is my favorite!! Also, this is the cheapest jar but it does not lack in quality. The quality is impeccable. Highly recommended!!

MULTI-USE FRIENDLY, and a STATEMENT MAKER!
December 21, 2010
Grand! Is all I can say... Instead of candy, I took silk silver ribbon and some silver glass balls of different sizes to fill these beauties up (A little decor gimmick I picked up from Candice Olson) and they steal your attention the moment you walk within eye-shot of them.
I can't see ME putting goodies in these only because people would dig into them and leave their greasy paw prints all over them. But they are stunners, no matter what's inside. The big one's almost 2 feet tall with the lid on, so measure the height wherever you're thinking of putting them.
The Price is Phenomenal. Thinking of going back before Christmas Day and getting another of the large one to fill with Pinecones.

Big and Beautiful!
December 3, 2010
I ordered all three of them to put Christmas goodies in etc.. They are very grand and tall they are beautiful. You need a large space for them because some won't fit under the kitchen counter.
