Great knife shape
February 16, 2014
I love how substantial the spoons and forks are. But I especially love the shape of the knife. SO hard to find this shape along with fork and spoon shapes I can live with. The soup spoons are weighty and come close to how soup/dessert spoons should be sized. But I would caution that you can't just throw this flatware into the dishwasher nor can you just put it a drawer and count on it not tarnishing. It does tarnish. And it does react badly to dishwasher detergent and to being placed in with stainless steel ... which can cause it to discolor. Treat it as you would other plated or full silverware.
Pros: Personalization, Quality, Good for Entertaining, Color, Size, Appearance, Design, Weight, unique, lovely heirloom look
Cons: Difficult to Clean, Difficult to Store, High-Maintenance, tarnishes like silver

Tarnishes badly
October 4, 2013
I love the look and feel of this flatware, but it tarnishes horribly. I have tried several different dishwasher detergents, but would welcome any advice on keeping this tarnish free!
Pros: Quality, Balance, Size, Appearance, Weight
Cons: Difficult to Clean, tarnishes

Not a problem!
I've used this as my everyday silverware for 14 years. I put it in the dishwasher, but NOT next to regular flatware since this is HOTEL silver or it will tarnish! The only thing i've ever had to polish are my spoons.

Not really dishwasher "safe"
I have this flatware, too. Even though it says that it's dishwasher-safe ... you must treat it like plated or full-on silver. That means no dishwasher detergent, and storing it in tarnish-proof cloth ... as well as cleaning it as you would silver. (But not one of the tarnish "dips" ... that will ruin the surface long term.) It's not really very practical for everyday.
