good, but...

The biggest problem I have had is that the full bag indicator does not work. My new vacuum would shut off, and I thought it was broken. I finally looked at the bag, and it was completely full and compacted. In fact, the hose was FULL of hair and crud, but the light never went off. I thought I might have missed the light going off, so I changed the bag and hoped for the best. While vacuuming today, I thought I'd look to see how full the bag was. JAMMED full again, but no light. I took it in to my local shop, and the guy said that happens. WHAT? The light is worthless. Did my motor get ruined either time? I hope not! Meile and the shop say it will be fine, but I spent a LOT of money on this vacuum and don't want problems down the road

very disappointed

I rarely write reviews of products but every time I use this vacuum, I dislike it so much that I think that I should. I had a Miele for over 20 years and I was very happy with it till it 'died'. I was sold on Miele and thought spending close to $1000 on a vacuum cleaner, that I would be getting a fine piece of equipment. I expected much more from this machine. This model is a strange combination...the canister is wonderfully lightweight, the floor attachment is wonderful and the rest of the attachments are either miniscule or extremely heavy and very difficult to maneuver. The handle is annoyingly cumbersome to use. The metal piece that attaches to the sweeper attachments is also heavy, quite cumbersome, and inflexible which makes it difficult to vacuum window ledges and higher corners.
If I could return this and get another model, I would...aside from the fact that it is cumbersome, it is powerful. I highly recommend trying a different model.
Pros: light weight canister
Cons: Difficult to Use, cumbersome
