This is the 3rd vacuum I've had in 40 years of marriage and the first Miele. I decided to try the Miele after using one for a year while living in Europe. It was clumsy but it was an old model that worked very well. My Callisto does a great job vacuuming but it's still clumsy to attach the pieces and handling the "in"flexible hose is like wrestling a boa constrictor. The power head is too big to fit under most furniture or do the stairs. The floor attachment flips around so doing the stairs is a challenge keeping the canister balanced in front of me and holding the floor attachment in my hand without the wand. The canister is quite heavy and so is the power attachment so I'm pooped by the time I'm finished doing the house from top to bottom. Reviewers on other sites claim the cord is too short and the capacity of the bags is too small but I have no complaints with either. I just feel that it should be easier to handle.

Worth the investment

After going through several vacuums over the last few years we decided to invest in one that had a reputation for lasting. Bagless models just don't perform at the level bagged models do, and regardless of what marketing tells you, they do lose suction.
We looked at several top brands (Sebo, Kirby, Miele, etc.) and after in-home testing, found the Miele cannister to be the best option. Never had a cannister before, but love it after getting used to it. More convenient than a upright.
Amazing suction power, fully sealed, true hepa filtration. Others claim it, Miele delivers.
Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Scent, Quality, Easy to Clean, Versatile, Design, Assembly
