Delicious!
March 26, 2013
I put this in my crockpot with 3 lbs.of skinless chicken thighs on low for 8 hours and had lots of sauce. The 2nd time I made it with 5 lbs. of skinless chicken thighs and still had lots of sauce. Excellent flavor and the chicken was fall-off-the-bone tender. I prefer my chicken without the fatty skin. Will buy this sauce again and again.
Pros: Amount, Easy to Prepare, Quality, Good for Entertaining, Time-saver, Flavor, Healthy

Oh So Tastey!!!
February 25, 2013
I tried this sauce on a lark and boy am I glad I did. It is delicious and my family loved it! I have used the sauce a couple of time now. The last time I added about 1/4 to 1/2 cup white wine and it added a nice flavor. I would add the wine again, but it is good with or without it.
Pros: Quality, Good for Entertaining, Time-saver, Flavor

Not that wonderful
February 12, 2013
I purchased this braising sauce based on the reviews online. I received it by mail and decided to use it that night with chicken. Using a crockpot, I cooked the chicken accordingly and served it over noodles. My family thought it was just okay and wasn't thrilled with the flavor. It wasn't bad or awful, it just seemed too bland for us. You could hardly taste the lemon in it and it seemed to lack seasoning. I had to add my own. I wouldn't buy it again. Definitely, not worth the money. I have purchased other WS sauces and bases and they were good, but not this one.
Cons: Disappointing, Flavor

December 13, 2012
Great braising sauce that does not taste like it came from a jar.
Wonderful bright flavors - you can really taste the quality ingredients that are used. My family loved it and it's perfect for a weeknight meal.
Will definately buy again.

Easy and tastes gourmet!
November 4, 2012
I follow browning directions then bake covered wiith sauce about 45 minutes. Remove from oven, top with sliced zucchini, and continue to bake until vegetables are to your liking. I also topped with some leftover sauteed onions and a tiny bit more sauce. Served over Jasmine rice. Yum!
Pros: Easy to Prepare, Authentic, Quality, Good for Entertaining, Time-saver, Flavor, Healthy, Great Gift

Great company dish
November 7, 2011
I followed the Williams Sonoma recipe for the braised veal shanks using the meyer lemon braising base; my guest were all raving about the dish and no one knew how easy it was. I did top the veal with a slice of meyer lemon and a little rosemary.

Awesome Sauce!
October 31, 2011
EASY, EASY, EASY! and did I say EASY?!!
If you want to serve a fabulous dish with minimal work -- having time to chat with guests . . . this is the sauce for you. I brown boneless skinless chicken thighs per directions on label (and I use sunflower oil or safflower oil on high) and get rave reviews -- everyone wants my recipe! You will not regret buying this sauce.

Our New Favorite!
September 1, 2011
Made it with 6 chicken breast halves and browned them as instructed then put them in the slow cooker ~ fabulous! Leftovers were as good or better. We preferred with mashed potatoes but still very good with egg noodles. I am making this for guests next week and getting one for my daughter as a stuffing stocker for Christmas!
Pros: Easy to Prepare, Good for Entertaining, Time-saver, Flavor
Cons: pricey

Family was Impressed!
August 29, 2011
Oh my gosh! I hope this product is never discontinued. I served this with chicken thighs and rice. 2 days later I reheated the leftovers and served over mashed potatoes instead of rice and it was even better!
The lemon permeated the chicken and the potatoes made it seem like a 5 star restaurant dish. Can't wait to serve it to company.... incredibly easy!
Pros: Easy to Prepare, Quality, Good for Entertaining, Decadent, Flavor
Cons: pricey

easy cool meal prep in south texas
August 24, 2011
after 12 weeks of mostly over 100degree days, i'm at my wits end to find something easy and more to the point, cool to fix, for supper. an impulse purchase, this sauce plus the w/s all-clad slow cooker with the stove top insert made for a really easy, savory meal! sauced chicken, noodles, salad and garlic bread made an easy cleanup, satisfying meal i will make again thanks!

Afraid not lemony at all
June 29, 2011
I'm writing the review, but didn't like the taste of the sauce outside of being on the chicken like tried it with noodles, rice and mashed for I cooked them all just in case; strange, I know, but afraid I won't buy this one again. I love the Short Rib Braise and I have hopes for the untried Tuscan(pork roast) and Pot Roast versions. Sorry W-S!

Cons: Flavor

Luscious Lemon!
May 27, 2011
What a super, fantastic, easy braising sauce! I used it with the Williams- Sonoma braised veal shanks recipe- YUM! I read other reviewers who said that their guests licked their plates clean... I can testify that my guests did the exact same thing!!! I'm going to use this sauce for Chirstmas dinner! It's just the right amount of lemon, garlic, mustard, white wine- YUM!

Excellent weeknight option
May 10, 2011
We loved this sauce--very tasty.
We added mushrooms, and used chicken breasts rather than cutup chicken. One thing to note, like all the other sauces, the end sauce is very thin. I mixed a tablespoon of lemon juice with cornstarch and let it cook for a half hour longer to thicken it up a bit.
Pros: Easy to Prepare, Time-saver, Flavor, Healthy

Not my favorite
April 27, 2011
Great smell in the kitchen while cooking. However, it was a very strong lemon taste, almost a vinegar taste. This flavoring was too strong for me.
Cons: Flavor, too strong flavor
