The best turkey roaster
June 7, 2009
I purchased this pan at Delherin in Paris years ago. This is the very best turkey roaster that money can buy. The shape of this pan can handle even the 30 lb turkey that is fixed at the holidays. The height of the sides lets your turkey brown better than you can imagine. A show piece on your holiday table. The weight of the copper pan then allows you make the gravy right on the stove top once you have removed the turkey and have it resting. What a great conversation piece!

Love copper but a turkey?
I have another piece in this line, the Mauviel Fish poacher, and I love the look and functionality of the copper.
It would not occur to me to roast a turkey in the Tubotiere, which is intended mainly to be a stovetop cooker for a large flat fish, but I suppose it is possible. It certainly is a large piece, being 20" long.
That's putting your cookware to creative use, so whatever works!

Not big enough
I don't understand how you can fit a 30 lb turkey into a 4.5" tall pot. I think this comment is written for the wrong product.

Worth Every Penny
November 18, 2008
I purchased this item as a gift. They loved it so much, I bought myself one. and it has been worth every penny. It cooks all kinds of fish evenly, and enables it to absorb more flavor. I highly reccomend it.
