Beautiful well-built pot, I am very pleased with the product and look forward to many years of cooking with it. My previous experiences with the Mauviel product line have always been positive.

Excellent for Beef Bourguingnon
February 13, 2010
This pan is excellent for creating wonderfulf dishes like Beef Bourguingnon and Beef Carbonnade. The tin lining acts as a non-stick surface and conducts heat more efficiently than the stainless steel lining. Clean-up is a breeze.
This is a saute pan and cassorole pan all in one.
I would highly recommend this pan.

beware! tin-lined
August 10, 2009
just today received an estimate for retinning my pot like this one: $160. You will need to retin every 8-10 years unless one of your guests "cleans up" for you and uses steel wool on a tin-lined pot and shows the copper through the lining -- when it is time to retin.
Much better to go with stainless steel bottoms.
