Mauviel Copper Splayed Saucepan

This classic piece (sometimes called a Windsor pan) is especially well suited to sauce making: as the narrow base quickly heats liquids, the wide top speeds their evaporation. Crafted in France by Mauviel, a family-owned maker of fine copper cookware since 1830.Heavy-gauge 2mm copper for superior heat conductivity and temperature control.Stainless-steel interior is nonreactive and easy to clean.Riveted bronze handle.

Worth waiting for...

This is my favorite pan. We had been looking for a quality copper pan for a number of years and finally settled on this one. It was definitely worth the wait. I love how it holds and distributes the heat - no hot spots. I love using it for tender sauces. It looks great hanging by the stove and tarnishes gracefully. It is easy to clean and maintain. I also get a workout lifting it when it is full.
