I was thrilled to receive this bowl with my purchase.
I carefully followed the directions to make Brioche and was excited I could bake the bread directly in the dough bowl.
I read and reread the directions and mixed everything according to the directions.
Wow, grey peelings and chunks started to appear in my beautiful dough!
What a disappointment. After examining the components, I discovered what had been happening. The dough blade was scraping the teflon coating off the bowl and the blade was beginning to fuse to the machine shaft.
As a result, I had a ruined dough blade, machine shaft, 16 cup bowl, and dough bowl.
Carrots to WS for replacing the mixer and covering shipping.
How disturbing this was that such an expensive machine could have this defect. I googled this problem and found I was not the only one to experience this.
Very glad I bought the Magimix through William Sonoma, such great return service.
I will not ask for a replacement of the bowl for fear this will happen again.
Cons: Quality

RE: "Proceed with Caution"
I wonder if the incorrect bowl size or blade attachment was included. With other Magimix attachments and bowls, the blade does not scrape the bowl when the correct sizes are used.

it is not the issue with the bowl
I don't have this bowl (just thinking of purchasing it now) but also had the issue with shaft (plastic being strpped by the blade) so it's nto the issue with the bowl, it's the issue with the shaft. I had mine repaired by wonderful thegourmetdepot team (the only thing it takes a while as they are in California) but they sent me a UPS box that picked up the food processor and shipped it back when it was fixed, now questions. Providing there is such a good warranty, I am happy I kept my food processor.
