Dwarf Genoa Italian Lemon Citrus Tree

A cold-hardy variety from Italy, Genoa lemons are exceptionally versatile-the juice adds tangy flavor to everything from salad dressings and marinades to lemonade and cocktails. The fragrant yellow zest is very high in natural lemon oil, making it a favorite baking ingredient. Our citrus tree arrives ready for transplanting into the ground, a planter or a decorative container (wooden planter shown not included). A dwarf variety, it will bear fragrant white blossoms in the spring and full-sized fruit in the winter. Grow indoors in all zones; outdoors in zones with light frost conditions. Three-year old tree arrives fully rooted in a black plastic pot and is suitable for container or ground planting. Arrives 18" -24" high. Grows 4'-8' high, 3'-4' wide in a pot; 10'-12' high, 8' - 10' wide in the ground. Requires full sun. Produces fragrant, white flowers in spring and full-sized lemons in winter. Grown in USA. Agricultural regulations prohibit shipment to FL, TX, AZ.

It's an OK tree.

For the cost, I think the tree is somewhat disappointing. The first one I received clearly had a leaf miner issue. But it was sent to me anyway.
The second tree that I received -- a month later -- was better. But barely 2 feet tall and did not have a straight trunk. The branches were a bit haphazard and the tree overall was a bit lopsided, so disappointing. Definitely not at all like the picture -- or even close.
On the plus side, Williams Sonoma customer service was outstanding in correcting the problem with the first tree; and I purchased this on sale with free shipping. But I wouldn't order again. The thing is, these come from Four Wind Growers, which is a reputable place. Perhaps because the tree was discounted, they send inferior ones.

Great looking tree
July 9, 2016
I'm very pleased with my purchase and I'm looking forward to buying another fruit tree within the next months. I can't wait to see its flowers and then lemons. I placed my dwarf lemon tree near a sunny window and so far it is happy and doing well. I received my lemon tree carefully packaged and it arrived on time.

A picture is worth 1000 words!!

I will let my picture do the talking. My tree arrived in the middle of a snow storm. I was actually terrified to open the box. To my surprise the tree was packaged beautifully and was in excellent condition! To my double surprise, this is the first time in my life that a tree I ordered was as big and beautiful as pictured. You will not be disappointed! I can't wait till it blossoms in the spring.
