Littledeer Turn Oar

Designed by Canadian inventor and designer Tom Littledeer, this beautifully carved utensil has fluid shapes inspired by canoe paddles. Each tool is handcrafted from a single piece of North American maple and smoothly finished. Turning Oar is designed for lifting and turning baked goods, pan-frying and stir-frying. Handcrafted from solid North American maple, a durable, bacteria-resistant hardwood that's ideal for the kitchen. Safe for use with nonstick finishes, glass and porcelain.

Great turner/spatula
October 7, 2010
This is my favorite turner now. Works great on non stick or regular pans. Love the thin edge so you can get it under omelets or fish to flip it. I use it when stir frying in a wok. Only negative is that it's expensive but after buying over 10 different turners/spatulas in the past month, this one is the best. Should have bought this one first.

Very nice paddle. Very attractive but expensive. Would like to have a whole set of them.

How about a leftie?
I've had the turning oar and it's great for right handed use. I wish they made a companion with a reverse curve for the left hand. I'd buy a set in a flash. And no, a wooden salad set would not be the same
