Terrible for Oatmeal
October 30, 2014
I tried this for the first time this morning. My first effort boiled over making a big mess, and the oatmeal was nowhere near done. I realized my microwave is 1000 watts so figured I'd put the remainder back for a couple of minutes on 80% power. It boiled over again. By this time, the oatmeal was just done enough to eat but tasted watery. I may make a couple more tries to see if I can get it to work, but so far I'd say it's definitely not worth the money. I don't think it's much of a time saver.
Pros: Easy to Clean, Size, Assembly
Cons: Difficult to Use, Speed, Temperamental

Perfect for pasta, too
June 23, 2014
I had to return the pasta cooker because it did not fit in my small microwave, but this round cooker does the trick.
I use it mostly for spaghetti (just break the noodles in half), and just tried it for brown rice, which takes a long time to cook. So I am still experimenting with finding the right cooking time for the rice. Haven't tried the other grains, yet, but am sure they will turn out fine too.
I like that the plastic is BPA-free. The instructions warn you to use oven mitts to remove from the oven, so I worried about how hot the bottom would be. I use oven mitts, and it's not superhot. The top and bottom clean up real easy too.
If you are short on counter space and storage, and like me, don't have a working cooktop, this is a great solution.
Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Time-saver, Easy to Clean, Easy to Store, Size, Design
