Quick pasta
July 8, 2014
I like this pasta cooker! Great for small quantities. I made two servings of angel hair pasta and cooked on high for eight minutes. Quick and no mess. I didn't use the lid as a drain (because I always save some pasta water in case I need to thin out the sauce). I used pasta tongs to remove pasta from container and it worked well. Easy and quick.
Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Quality, Time-saver, Easy to Clean, Design

I've only used it 3 times, and love it. Note that I generally prepare one or 2 servings and it's been great. Other reviews state that the pasta doesn't cook properly if making large quantities, and I can see how that would be the case. Too much pasta and not enough water doesn't sound to me as though it would be effective.
I've cooked both dry and fresh pasta and it's done its job well.
The base does stay hot after cooking and using the draining lid takes a little practice. I would recommend that anyone with difficulty using their hands/wrists use a regular strainer, rather then the lid.
I'm very happy that I no longer have to give up pasta at home during our very hot and extremely humid summers.
For me it's a 5-star. I gave it a 4 rating because of the limitations I stated.
Pros: Durable, Quality, Time-saver, Easy to Clean, Easy to Store, Design, beat the heat
Cons: awkward to use draining lid, may not be appropriate for large quantities

Too Short!
I am amazed that nobody has mentioned that this spaghetti cooker is shorter than the spaghetti available at the super market.
What do you do? Take scissors and cut the spaghetti to fit?
