Sturdy but awkward

Like all Le Creuset products this item is sturdy and durable. But I find it's weight and design awkward and cumbersome. It is so heavy and difficult to manipulate that I fear I will drop it on my quartz counter and chip my counter. It was a gift or I would return it.
