Laguiole Cheese Knives

Whether you're hosting a wine-and-cheese party or serving a traditional cheese course, these finely crafted French tools provide expert assistance and perfect service. Their classic design was inspired by a shepherd's tool first produced in the French village of Laguiole in the 19th century. Made of thicker, heavier-gauge stainless steel than other Laguiole cutlery and flatware on the market, each is hand polished and finished for a difference in quality you can really see and feel. Three-piece set includes a cheese knife, cheese fork and cheese spreader. High-quality, heavy-gauge stainless steel blades provide superior durability and stain resistance and pleasing heft. Individually finished and polished by hand. Handles of molded resin with three visible rivets. Bolsters are decorated a bee, a symbol of the Laguiole region. Packaged in a signature wooden storage case. Dishwasher safe. Made in France.

Complete junk.
Stamped/non forged steel: check!
Right handed only: check!
Feels cheap and quickly made: check!
Resin handles do not have to feel this poorly made but these do.
I will be most certainly happy to return these knives and never buy Laguiole products again. Just buy some reasonable german cutlery and you will avoid this problem.
The reality is that you are mostly paying for box and cheap knives.
Cons: Fragile, Quality, Shape, Color, Design, Not Durable, right handed only, wrong weight, light weight, inconsistent colouring

Laguiole is not a brand or a trademark.
From Wikipedia: "As Laguiole designates a type of knife and is not a brand or trade name of cutlery, Laguiole knives are manufactured globally. This has caused the market to be flooded with inexpensive knives made in Asia. Quality Laguiole knives are handcrafted in France by skilled workers. The French production is shared between the cutlery hub town of Thiers, and the village of Laguiole: and these places have worked together for more than 150 years. A quality manufacturer will proudly emboss his trademark or signature into the steel of his knives. "Made in France" will often be embossed as well. This is the origin's guarantee."
