Works great!

I got this a while back and have used it several times. The first time I used it, it didn't work so well. Then I watched a video online and found the trick is to keep the dough just a little thicker than normal (I think it is 3) so it squeezes together when making the ravioli. It worked like a charm and is SO easy! The raviolis are on the small size, but if you want to make a bunch to freeze, this is better than store bought anyday!
Pros: Design, Easy to Use, Speed

Easier Than I Thought!!

My son bought me the Kitchenaid pasta rollers and pasta press for Christmas and then found the ravioli attachment on sale just a week ago, so he bought that for me, also. At first I was a little intimidated, but, after watching the video on the Williams-Sonoma website I gave it a shot. Wow, very fun and I was impressed at how my first batch turned out! There is a little bit of a learning curve for those of us who've never used these attachments before, but, once you get it--it works great!
It is hand-cranked so you have complete control as to how fast the pasta comes out. The only negative is that you have to be really careful when you attempt to separate the raviolis or you can easily tear the pockets instead of the scored lines.
I'm very happy with this product and will look for more great recipes to use with it.
Pros: Versatile, Quiet, Design, Assembly
Cons: High-Maintenance
