Good solid information

We joined the group of back yard chicken owners this Spring. This was one of two books I read cover to cover, though I read magazines, the Internet and parts of other books I purchased. This was my favorite, the other book I sold back to the seller because I found it didn't offer a great deal of information. I found this to be an entertaining read with good photos and good info. covering the day to day of chicken care. it also includes recipes. I made the frittata which was very good. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in keeping chickens.

Keeping Chickens is a must have book if you are a first time or want to be a chicken owner. I have several other raising chicken books and they give a lot of unnecessary information. This book is plain and simple and is fun to read.
We are in the process of building our chicken house and play yard and next will be buying the chickens, so this book have given us the information we need.
