Illy Fine-Grind Espresso, Regular
In 1933, Francesco Illy of Trieste, Italy, first perfected the espresso-making process by combining advanced science with Italian tradition. Here, 100% Arabica beans are carefully roasted to ensure a smooth, balanced and consistent taste. Medium roast pure Arabica coffee, finely ground for espresso. The decaffeinated version has the same rich flavor as the caffeinated grounds but with a caffeine content of less than 0.05%. Packaged in air-pressurized tins, the coffee maintains its rich aroma and fresh flavor until the moment it's prepared. 8.8 oz. Made in Italy.

Divine espresso

I have a Gaggia espresso maker from Italy, and the only brand of coffee I'll use with it is Illy. When I took the Illy for a test drive, it produced an espresso with an assertive crema, something that cheaper brands such as Alessi and Lavazza did not. The beans themselves are roasted to perfection, with a caramel-like odor and nuance of flavor that I've yet to match in cheaper blends. I don't consume espresso straight, but instead whip up divine lattes using Illy as the base, although the Illy has so many rich notes, it would probably be great solo. Another plus is the fact that it comes in an airtight tin perfect for storing in the freezer (as ground coffee tends to go stale quickly). Illy also makes a fabulous decaf blend that is perfect for those late-night espresso indulgences.
