Halloween Cupcake Stencils

Memorable home-baked treats are enchantingly easy with these haunting stencils. Just set your favorite spooky shape in the frame, lay it atop a cupcake and add a quick sprinkle of cocoa, cinnamon or colored sugar. When you remove the stencil, your professional-looking design will magically appear. Set of four spooky shapes includes a bat, skull, spider and owl. For a colorful layered effect, use more than one stencil on a cupcake. Try making a black witch against a bright orange sky - or a ghostly white spider in an eerie black web. The handled frame has a sloped rim that funnels sprinkles to the center for neat, waste-free decorating. Detailed patterns guarantee spine-tingling sharpness. Hand wash.

Not sharp image
October 26, 2013
To get a sharp image from these stencils, you need the stencil to be pressed hard onto the top of the cupcake. However, if you do that, the stencil sticks to the icing and the image gets wrecked as you pull the stencil off. If you don't press the stencil down and simply hover it over, it gives you a terribly unclear image. I tried multiple powders, sprinkles, etc. Never got a clear image, just looked messy.
Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Easy to Clean, Easy to Store
Cons: images not clear

Cupcake Stencil Uses
I have the Christmas stencils; and while I don't use the stencils for iced cupcakes, the stencils work great to decorate brownie squares. Just make your favorite brownie recipe, cool, cut into squares and stencil each brownie square instead of dusting the whole brownie pan with powdered sugar.

Same Here
I agree with this poster that the stencils do not do a good job if using with icing. I'm glad I didn't pay full price for them.

Easy to sprinkle either powdered sugar or superfine sugar directly on top of a dark chocolate cupcake.
Pros: Easy to Use
