Gobel Traditional Finish Savarin Pan

Designed for making a savarin, a rum-soaked yeast cake that originated in the mid-19th century, our commercial-quality ring mold is equally handy for creating ice cream and gelatin desserts. Made in France of tinned steel, the pan bakes dough to a perfectly golden finish and is safe for use in the refrigerator or freezer. Heavy-gauge tinned steel ensures even and gentle heat distribution for consistent baking and browning. Classic savarin mold is equally suited to making gelatin molds, ice-cream molds and more. 9 3/4" diam., 2" high. Made in France by a company that has produced quality bakeware since 1887.

Works great

Bought two of these to make a cake in the shape of a doughnut for my daughter's birthday. Worked out great! Will come up with other ideas to use them for the holidays.

A Rare Find at A Wonderful Price

I have been looking for this French dessert pan for a good long time, and I was so happy to discover it at Williams-Sonoma! It was unbelievably inexpensive! I can easily make impressive desserts for my dinner guest. Did I mention that this pan is also made in France? Williams-Sonoma always provides great products for the home cook!

INCREDIBLY VERSATILE PAN!

I originally purchased this pan to make a yeasted, rum soaked cake which is this pan's intended purpose. It produced a beautiful easily removable cake. Over the past month, I have used it for several other purposes: a beautiful ice ring for a bridal shower punch (filled with stone fruit and citrus- gorgeous), a gelatin desert and an ice cream desert (vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce and salted nuts). The pan easily released all of these cooking projects.
This is not a "one trick pony". Also, the pan cleaned easily! What more can you want!?
