Glass Butter Dish

Covered dishes like this one are fixtures at breakfast tables and on kitchen countertops throughout France, keeping the butter fresh and easily accessible. We translated the classic accessory for stateside use with the word "butter" across the top. Made of pressed soda lime glass. Holds a standard-size stick of butter. Dishwasher safe.

Cute Butter Dish
May 27, 2013
Functional butter dish that cleans up nice because it is glass. The glass has minor imperfections (small bubbles) but adds to the character of the dish.
Pros: functional, decorative

Great for Storing Butter on Countertop
February 21, 2013
I wasn't sure if I was going to like this butter storage dish, but I was pleasantly surprised. Great for leaving covered butter on the counter top to soften/be soft when you want to use it. The "Buerre" imprint on the top is fun, reminding me at one time I was fairly accomplished in speaking French! (Now relegated to a reflecting on a single noun imprinted on a kitchen accessory!). C'est la vie!
