Great Breadbox

Nice sleek design. Looks great and keeps countertop looking neat. I found another box online that looked and was described almost identically and cost considerably less, so I ordered it thinking I would return the WS box. However, when I received both boxes and did a side by side comparison, it seemed to me that your product was finished better and the steel and glass used was of higher quality, so I returned the cheaper item.

I love the bread box. I do wish it had been just half that size longer. We have breakfast bread, hot dog buns, hamburger buns and dinner bread. Just not enough space for all that.

This is the first time I have been disappointed in a W-S product. The bread box is not as sturdy as I would have expected and bread molded within the week. I wouldn't buy it again.

Well built quality bread box, the lid glides open and shut with ease, and not a sound. Bread stays fresh for days and days. This item is something you'll keep and hand down to loved ones. It's a cool item, and requires no power to operate! Easy to clean too.

This breadbox is not only stylish in our little 1955 kitchen but is functional as well! A must-have, because it actually DOES 'keep' bread fresher, longer.
My Grandma Hill had one of these long ago; I am so glad I found one like hers. Easy to clean, beautifully constructed.

A Wonderful Bread Box

My husband and I are usually unable to finish a loaf of bread before it gets moldy. I looked at many different types of bread boxes, but kept coming back to the style of this one. I was hesitant to purchase it at first because of the price, but finally gave in. It was a fantastic purchase! I do not regret spending the money. It has done a marvelous job keeping our breads and baked good fresh. Plus, it looks great in our kitchen.

I rarely write reviews, but this bread box is so incredibly amazing, I felt compelled to speak out. I am not exaggerating - forget thinking this expensive - it will save you in stale/rotten/moldy bread within a year. Bread stays fresh for over a week; french bread is like new two days old. It gets to the point where I throw out seemingly fresh bread/rolls because there is never a speck of mold to be seen, but I have had them sitting in the bread box for two weeks!! Buy this bread box for yourself, for your mother, sister, sister-in-law, whomever - they will all thank you.

Simple Concept - Excellent Execution

My grandmother had a bread box in her kitchen and I wondered at the practicality of having such a huge box sitting on valuable counter space. Still, I was drawn to it, even if it was nostalgic in nature. When I saw this one being offered by Williams-Sonoma and the raving reviews, I took the head-long plunge. No regrets!
This trendy looking take on an old concept is just what every kitchen needs. There are only two people in our home and we are not bread lovers, so our bakery items tended to sit longer than in other households. There was a lot of waste. In less than a year's time, this bread box paid for itself.

The best way to keep bread fresh

I'll admit, I put this box on our wedding registry because of the reviews and when it arrived, I thought to myself "there doesnt seem to be any vacuum sealing or exceptional technology going on here, how can it possibly be better than any other bread box?" OH but it IS! My husband and I are bread fanatics, we go to the bakery daily but now we almost dont need to because this box keeps the bread bakery fresh for DAYS! I put a slice of baguette in the box thinking it would be a rock by morning. My husband pulled it out 2 days later and it was still soft. I don't know how it works but it certainly does. And it is elegant to boot. If you like bread - this is worth the money!

Becuase of the price, after much debate,I went ahead and bought the bread box as a birthday present to myself. I am so glad I bought it. It looks great on the counter and can easily hold two big loafs of bread. I do not know how but it does keep the bread(s) fresher longer than otherwise without putting it in the refrigerator.
