It's not your '70s fondue

This book is wonderfully laid out, with a picture for nearly every dish - and - a list of foods that go well with that dish. And every list is different (for reasons that are not clear, however.) I bought the book because I had gotten a little $8 fondue pot with tea light. Naturally, many dishes call for an electric fondue maker. I settled on- and recommend- a pot with sterno, in metal (so it can go from burners to table.) I like that you make a simple meal on the burners,then take it to the table, with a pretty platter of accompaniments and people feed themselves. Particularly so with the fondue chicken with peanut sauce which uses chunks of raw chicken better than any other method I know. The cheese fondues (except lox/cream cheese) are very good. And fattening. I haven't tried desserts or anything with broth yet.

I always follow the directions to the letter the first time around. Then I make changes as I repeat them. For the cheddar cheese fondue - really - I'll use something more like a Corona next time.
These are all relatively easy and the few that I've tried are good.
Leave yourself time to's not like you get to just throw things into the fondue dish!
Pros: Easy to Use
